How to care and store your new pieces.

TOP TIPS ON HOW TO KEEP YOUR JEWELLERY LOOKING GORGEOUS!

STORAGE: Each piece of jewellery has been meticulously hand-crafted to ensure a beautiful and long-lasting finish.  Please DO NOT hang your necklaces as it may damage and/or cause the stringing material to stretch.  If you do not have a jewellery tray or box, please keep them in the jewellery pouch provided.

DAILY USE: I know you’re in love with your new piece and will want to show it off, but PLEASE remember…….your jewellery should be the LAST think you put on (after your creams and potions have all dried) and the FIRST think you remove when you get home.

Please remove your jewellery before exercising, showering and before you go to bed. Regardless of the metal, gemstones are porous and will absorb water and moisture, causing them to dull and crack over time. Perfumes and chemicals will affect them as well, so please, wipe them down after use, especially after a warm day.  A soft cloth is included with your purchase.

Allow your lotions, serums, tanning products to fully dry before putting your jewellery on (we suggest at least 10-15 minutes).

DON’T DROP ME! Gemstones are made from natural materials.  Some gemstones are softer than others and if dropped on a hard surface, they may crack or break.  So, please handle with care.  Opals, for example, are softer than most quartz gemstones, so please treat them with extra care.

CLEANING:  You will receive a small, soft cloth with your purchase.  After each wear, please give your gemstones a quick wipe to remove any sweat or residue from the day - especially pearls.  Please do not use any harsh chemicals, soaps or soak in water. 

We know that accidents happen.  If your jewellery is showing signs of damage or breaks, please email us right away.  We’re here to help!  

RE-STRINGING SERVICE:  After a while, the silk used in your hand-knotted necklace may appear to stretch (usually after a couple of years).  We are happy to offer a free re-stringing service (you just need to pay for shipping costs).  Reach out to us at hello@bypriscilla-london.com to arrange.
